Have you ever been on a road trip that didn’t go as planned? You know, the Planes, Trains, and Automobiles type of road trip. The kind where anything and everything that can go wrong does go wrong and all you want to do is go home?
Well, I’m happy to say that this was NOT one of those road trips!
This was an extremely smooth road trip – and that all has to do with what we drove.
We drove a 2020 GMC Acadia and it was everything I’ve ever wanted in a car and more. First, there is the storage. Now, the Acadia may be smaller than the Suburban, but it did not disappoint with its storage capacity. Just check out how we fit the luggage of five women into the back of this car!
We had SO many bags – one can never have too many outfit choices, right?
I was driving and I have to say that SEVERAL times during this road trip each passenger commented about how smooth this ride was. And as the driver, it was truly amazing. Even if the road was bumpy, we didn’t feel it. I felt in such command in this car – I didn’t want to stop driving!
Safety Matters
As the driver in a super long road trip, nothing matters more to me than safety. Because I am on the short side, I love cameras in cars. And the GMC Acadia has a rearview camera that is the BEST! I felt so confident about driving this car.
Technology for DAYS!
What road trip is complete without a sing-along playlist? The GMC Acadia has Apple Car Play so we could play our favorite playlists and everyone in the car could sing along. There were also several USB ports for charging phones, iPads, and anything else you could think of.
And can we talk about gas mileage for a hot second? I thought for sure we would have to stop for gas halfway through our 4.5-hour trip, but we didn’t stop once. With gas prices fluctuating – it’s nice to know that you can still drive a 7 passenger vehicle and get good gas mileage.
