The Funny Things I Love About My Little Boy

I love my little boy.  He’s every bit as much me as he is his father.  Sometimes those attributes completely annoy me, and other times they make my heart absolutely melt.  It’s like how all day long your child can drive you batty and then when you’re laying in bed you reminisce about how amazing he or she is.  Since my little boy turned FOUR this week, I decided to compile a list of all of the funny things I love about him.

1. I love that he can rock ANY look.  Even when that means insisting upon wearing an oversized sailboat shirt with pants that are too small {that is my fault} for your birthday.

   

   2. I love that he talks to himself when going to the bathroom.  He will have full on conversations with his action figures.  It makes me heart happy because it means he’s still so innocent.  I absolutely love to hear him solving crime while going potty.

   3. I love that he takes his passion for Star Wars very seriously.  He even corrects me when I get the planets wrong.

   

   4. I love that he wants to be the REAL Batman when he grows up.  Not the fake one, but the real one.  He truly believes that this is a possibility and right now I’m going to go with it.  Because one day he’ll wake up and toss his Batman action figure to the ground and never pick it up again.

   5. I love that he has the silliest smiles.  My son is pretty stoic.  It’s a known fact around our house.  The funny thing is he actually is a major goofball, and his smile is the cutest thing.  However, when asked to smile for the camera he has a Chandler from Friends expression that I can’t stop giggling about.

   

   6. I love that he uses his “Big Boy Voice” when other kids come over.  I don’t know when this started, but I’ve noticed that when one of his friends comes over he talks in a much deeper more authoritative voice.  Does anyone else’s child do this or is it just mine?  It makes me laugh so much because it’s like he’s being the man of the house when in fact if one of his friends takes his toy he will melt into the little one I know so well.
